Danish start-up desires to enter the US consumer product market with its patented air compressors

Client Needs: This upstart technologically advanced company in Denmark desired to enter the US market with its patented hand held air compressors. Even though the technology was revolutionary and their products were reasonably priced because of production in China, the company had no experience or contacts in the United States to launch. They were concerned about the cultural differences and getting to know US business practices. They were in search of a US based marketing agency that could handle sales to distributors and mass market retailers as well as branding, distribution and customer service.

Why Adroit? After much research and a selection process that included 10+ companies, Adroit was selected to handle the initial launch of the revolutionary product, AIRMAN, a and multi-purpose hand held compressor that inflates car and bike tires and sports balls. The client wanted our strategic expertise but also needed operational support (“boots on the ground”) in the US in the early stages. Adroit’s turnkey solution made our team the best choice for the client.  We made business in the US easy by providing total operational support for all activities while offering a single point of contact for the client.

Solution: Adroit went right to work developing a customized product launch solution designed to create early sales momentum. From setting up a domestic fulfillment center to marketing, PR and tactical direct sales support to customer service, Adroit provided a customized solution that yielded a positive result for the client. Results: With Adroit’s strategic and operational support, the company was able to pioneer their products in the US market by landing deals with major retailers such as: QVC, HSN, Sharper Image, Brookstone, Ace Hardware, True Value, Home Depot, Auto Zone, Sam’s Wholesale, Performance Bicycle among others. Also, Adroit was able to secure a Today’s Special Value (TSV) on QVC which sold 44,000 units on the air in 24 hrs.

American paper recycling conglomerate wants to go vertical by creating its own product line. 

Clients Needs: The client had underused production capabilities and needed to increase sales quickly. The client needed assistance with creating and launching a new consumer products division from scratch. They were making jigsaw puzzles and board games for some of America’s largest toy companies, providing the warehousing and coordinating shipments to major retailers throughout the US.

Why Adroit?  We were selected because of our current market knowledge and our ability to handle product development, marketing and sales as an integrated solution.
 
Solution:

Result:  Our team was able to meet the design challenge in less than 6 months enabling the client to make the deadline for the International Toy Fair. The product lines were proprietary consisting of patented board games and licensed puzzle art that created distinct differentiation in the marketplace. The line was configured to appeal to three sectors of the market – dollar chains, department chains and mass merchants. The uniqueness and targeted price points enabled the sales team to generate approximately $1 million in sales in the first year.  Examples of accounts acquired – Walgreens, Dollar General, Dollar Tree, Spilsbury, Big Lots, Fred’s Discount,  Wizards of the Coast, Walmart regionally.

Stockcar Fabrication Company desires to launch a training and certification academy 

Client Needs: The client needed assistance in Start-up Incubation and Launch support to create and manage a training and certification program designed to teach students the art form of stockcar fabrication. The company is well known for building stockcars for NASCAR legends such as Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt. They have also trained current NASCAR drivers to fabricate including Bobby Labonte and Jeff Burton.
